Cyprus Hotel Elias Beach - Huge renovations
Following our announcement concerning the long-term lease of the Elias Beach Hotel by Kanika Cyprus Hotels we would like to provide you with a description of the final renovation and refurbishment plans that will take place during the period December 2006 – February 2007. The most noted changes in the new Elias Beach hotl are outlined below:
The Objective
Kanika Cyprus Hotels aims to develop Elias Beach hotel into a superior four-star year-round leisure beach resort that will appeal to couples and families of all ages. To that end, we will create and offer such areas, facilities and services that will make the new Elias Beach hotel one of the most exciting new beach hotels in Cyprus.
The new Elias Beach hotel will present itself as the home of elegance, sophisticated ambience and impeccable service, all enhanced with the superb undisturbed views of the blue Mediterranean Sea.
Accommodation
All 175 rooms will be completely renovated, refurbished and redesigned. The hotel will feature superior accommodation in an extended choice of room types which will include the new luxury Superior Rooms, Junior Suites and smart Kids Suites, all providing numerous amenities and facilities.
Kids Suites: Kids Suites are very large rooms with a sliding partition door separating the parents’ area from children’s area. The parents’ area features a new king-sized bed while the children’s area is furnished with bunk beds with Walt Disney bedcovers. The children will have their own TV set and play-station 2 with numerous games. Kids Suites also feature a number of facilities for infants/toddlers to ensure that families are as comfortable as possible. All Kids Suites enjoy full sea view.
Superior Rooms: These are larger than standard rooms with a new king-sized bed with a comfortable sitting area that includes a three-seated sofa and two armchairs. Guests staying in the Superior Rooms will be entitled to free tea and coffee making facilities that are replenished daily, as well as slippers and luxury bath amenities. All Superior Rooms enjoy full sea view.
Junior Suites These are much larger than Superior Rooms, and feature a new king-sized bed and a more luxurious décor. Junior Suites provide a cosy lounge area with a three-seated sofa, armchairs and several other pieces of furniture. The lounge area is separated from the bedroom area by a sliding partition door to create more privacy within the room. Guests staying in Junior Suites will be entitled to free tea and coffee making facilities that are replenished daily, as well as slippers, bathrobes and luxury bath amenities. All Junior Suites enjoy full sea view.
Piano Lobby and Terrace
The existing bar together with the adjacent multifunctional room will be knocked down to form the new large piano lobby that extends onto a new cosy pergola covered terrace furnished with attractive bamboo furniture, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The new piano lobby and terrace measures over 500m2, all carpeted and featuring new branded furniture and a sophisticated décor. The new area will have its own coffee shop serving branded coffee and homemade sweets.
Main Bar
The existing lobby will be converted into a new spacious and elegant cocktail bar featuring a new bar, comfortable seating with luxurious new furniture and its own terrace with cosy bamboo furniture overlooking the hotel gardens and swimming pools.
Main Restaurant and Breakfast Room
The existing indoor main restaurant will be completely refurbished and remodelled to feature a new built-in buffet area with show-cooking stations, new furniture, enriched décor and a new private entrance (as opposed to the existing entrance through the breakfast room).
The existing breakfast room will be remodelled and refurbished to feature a new built-in breakfast buffet with show-cooking stations. The new breakfast room will be self-contained with its own private entrance (as opposed to the current open-plan layout). The breakfast terrace will also be upgraded to offer an ideal comfortable setting surrounded by lush gardens for an enjoyable breakfast.
Outdoor Beach Restaurant and the Pier
The existing beach restaurant will be redesigned and renovated to create a proper beach restaurant featuring a romantic seaside ambience. Among other things, new furniture, an upgraded buffet area, and an upgraded beach bar will make this venue an exotic, cool getaway. During summer, most theme buffet nights will be served at the new beach restaurant.
The Pier, a unique feature of this hotel, will also be maintained, serviced and upgraded to offer an ideal setting for special events on the pier.
The newly Chapel will be enhanced with new dining and reception facilities for wedding couples. The new Honeymoon Suite as well as the newly developed special dining and reception areas on the pier and at the outdoor restaurant will ensure an unforgettable experience.
Back Office and Technical Issues
Of course, one of our top priorities is to redesign and develop all working areas behind the scenes in accordance with ISO9001, HACCP1416, ENVIRONMENTAL ISO14001 and the HEALTH & SAFETY OHSAS18001 specifications which Kanika Cyprus Hotels has implemented and been certified accordingly.
Entertainment & Activities
Kanika Cyprus Hotels will extend the entertainment and activities programme for families and couples of all ages. Working with Kanika Hotels’ associated professional entertainment consultancy we aim to establish a varied and extensive entertainment and activities programme supported by the hotel’s new professional animation team and local entertainers.
The new Elias Beach hotel will offer a new indoor and outdoor Kids Club for children and teenagers. The Kids Club will be supervised by qualified staff. More details will be provided in due course.
Management Team and Staff
Kanika Cyprus Hotels will start an in-depth training course for the entire management team and staff of the new Elias Beach in order to prepare for the hotel’s re-opening on 1 March 2007.
