THE PROGRAM 2009 (Every Friday & Tuesday)

You will be picked up from your hotel in order to go to Pafos International Airport where the flight to Cairo will depart at 08.00 a.m. Upon arrival at the  Cairo International Airport at 09:00 a.m. you will be greeted by our representatives, who will assist you through immigration to the awaiting coaches.
We will drive through Heliopolis, an elite residential suburb of Cairo our professional guide will point out places of interest and introduce you to the long history and rich culture of Egypt ‘en route’ to our first highlights which will be the ‘Citadel of Saladin’ and the ‘Alabaster Mosque of Mohamed Ali’. We will admire the exquisite interiors of the Mosque and view the fascinating skyline of Old Cairo from the top of the hill.

Soon after, we will drive towards the Tahrir (Liberty) Square - the heart of down town Cairo where our next stop, the ‘National Archaeological Museum’ is situated.  We will have the opportunity to acquaint ourselves with Egypt’s ancient history spanning a period of 50 centuries. The Museum the richest collection of Egyptian Antiquities, including the magnificent Tut Ankh Amun collection.  There is also an option to visit The Royal Mummies Exhibition where we can see 11 unwrapped royal mummies including Ramses II which are in an amazing state of preservation.

Following the Museum visit, International buffer lunch including mineral water, coffee and tea will be served at a deluxe five star hotel. After lunch, we will visit the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World, the imposing Pyramids of Giza. 
A short drive down the valley will take us to the place where the guardian of this mortuary complex, the mysterious Sphinx lies. Let your imagination reflect on the gloriously golden days of the Pharaohs as you gaze at this mighty monument. During our visit to the Plateau of Giza we will have time for panoramic photo opportunities of the three Pyramids from the Western Plateau.
Looking at the Pyramids fading away in the distance our drive will lead us to the Papyrus Institute where the procedure of manufacturing the oldest paper in the world, an art discovered by the Ancient Egyptians, will be demonstrated. A little time for souvenir shopping will be given before we arrive at the banks of the River Nile downtown.

Here, we will board a luxurious Nile Cruising restaurant boat for a cruise in the longest waterway of the world, gliding along the same way traversed by Pharaohs, Queens and Nobles thousands of years before us. Modern Cairo is unique and the city’s skyline at dusk is very impressive from the water. A welcome drink will be served on board as traditionally dressed attendants greet your arrival.
Sit back, relax and enjoy a selection of assorted cold sandwiches, oriental cookies, pastries and cakes accompanied by hot beverages. A folkloric presentation and belly dancing will be presented for your entertainment while cruising.    
Following the Nile - cruise, we shall drive to the Cairo airport where there will be time for some duty free shopping before the return flight to Cyprus. We will arrive back at Paphos International airport at 22.15.

For those submitted the booking form: As soon as we receive these details, we shall email you an approval booking code, together with total costs and request for payment. In order to enable us securing & confirming your booking, at least a €35.00 initial deposit will be required. The remainder balance will be charged 23 days prior to the trip date. However, for your convenience and peace of mind, you may proceed with full payment at once. (For refunds & cancellation policy, see below)

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made up to 23 days prior to the trip date are subject to €35.00 cancellation (administration) fee. (any difference already paid, will be refunded).

Cancellations made 23 - 2 days prior to the trip date: Pay 50% of total. (any difference already paid, will be refunded).

Cancellations made 2 -0 days prior to the trip date: Pay 100% of total.

Non show: Pay 100%.

IMPORTANT NOTES

--In summer period (April-October) extra flights (apart Fridays & Tuesdays) could be added.

--Some passengers, except for British, Irish, Europeans, Americans, Canadians & Australians might require visa to enter Egypt. Issuing such a visa, IS NOT our responsibility.

--We reserve the right to cancel or change the date of the flight with or without notice. In this rare case confirmed bookings will be notified and refunded at least 7 days in prior

-All visitors to the Museums and Mosques should be respectfully dressed. (Covered shoulders - No shorts)
